Eat a Frog

Yesterday I ate a frog.

Ok, not really, but there’s this great quote by Mark Twain, “Eat a live frog first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.” OR “If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And If it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.”  While the internet cannot reach a consensus on what his exact words were, the point is the same, just get that super icky thing out of the way and everything will go better.

So yesterday on my way home from work, suffering from a terrible case of the i-don’t-wannas, and convincing myself NOT to work out, I decided, “Ok, Ms. Kristin Lazy Pants, if you don’t work out, you have to pick the worst thing on your list of to-do’s and do it.”  So I did.

I cleaned the bathroom.

And after that in a fit of non-procrastinative glee, I decided that this would be a weekend of….drum roll please….PRODUCTIVITY!  The hubs is away until Monday and last time he was away I spent most of my time on facebook/pinterest/general web-loafing.  I researched good ideas that never got done and read about things that generally had no bearing on my life.  And while it wasn’t all bad, it wasn’t mostly good either.

So here are the things on my list that I am allowed to do and count as productivity:

Read the Bible

Work on my kitchen dry erase board project

Spend time with people

grocery shop

Make progress on Israel plans

Start Weight Watchers

Learn how to use my new camera

Pick a photo organization software and start using it

……check with ya this weekend to let you know the progress 🙂
