Finding God

This morning I enjoyed from the sharing that the Bible is not like any other book. The Bible brings us to a living Person. If we read the Bible looking for answers, recommendations for living, or do’s and don’ts, then the Bible will be dry and difficult to understand. But if we read the Bible as loving seekers, seeking the living Christ in the Word, then we will receive life! Then our time in the Word will become a delight to us.

“The psalmist also delighted in God’s word (vv. 119:16, 24, 35, 47,  70, 77, 92, 174). He enjoyed the word of God and found it a source of delight. Every day we should have a time to delight ourselves in the Word.” (Life-study of the Psalms, pp. 459-460)
